Care - Ultra-Light Barefoot Shoes for Doctors, Nurses and Healthcare Workers
Nurses, medical assistants or doctors usually cover long distances during a shift. Standing for long periods also demands a high level of performance from the feet. In conventional shoes, the feet are almost completely immobilised by the rigid soles, which act like plaster splints. This leads to malpositions of the biomechanics, which affect the knees, hips and back and even the head.
The new barefoot shoe "care" from leguano, which was specially created for all medical and nursing professions, can provide a remedy.
The Right Shoe for the Job
Shoes in "medical" environments have to meet special challenges. In this work environment, there is frequent contact with disinfectants such as chlorine and other liquids or infected environments. In addition, long shifts with a lot of standing and walking are common, so that above-average attention must be paid to the comfort of work clothing, especially footwear.
Even though shoes with open heels are often common in hospitals, surgeries and nursing homes, they offer less safety because of the risk of slipping in the shoe. Straps over the heel are supposed to prevent slipping, but only closed shoes offer effective protection. These also prevent the penetration of liquids that run off.
The new barefoot shoe care for medical practice provides prevention in the right place: The ultra-flexible and sensory-permeable sole stimulates individual nerve zones on the foot and promotes muscle development. Active muscles on the foot are the prerequisite for our foot to stay in shape and free of complaints for as long as possible.
The leguano-typical sole not only offers sensory feedback, it is also slip-resistant and abrasion-proof. If the feet swell after standing for a long time or on warm days, the width of the shoe can be regulated and thus the wearing comfort maintained. The surface texture provides protection and is very easy to clean.
Our sole provides a secure grip and is very resistant: even pointed and sharp objects remain largely harmless.
Liquid-repellent upper material. Easy to wipe and easy to clean. The care is also suitable for the washing machine and can be washed at 30°C.
Disinfectable. The care is not only easy to clean, but above all disinfectable. This means that it can be used in almost all medical facilities.
"Why I am absolutely convinced of leguano in the medical field"
I myself have problem feet and came across barefoot shoes 12 years ago. After I had actually tried out all the models from different manufacturers, one thing is certain for me: I have had the very best experiences with shoes from leguano.
